Summer Art Camps

ART & SCIENCE CAMP

Richard W. Black Center, Hanover, NH

Ages: 6-11

Have fun exploring art and science! Experiment with combinations of shaving cream, shampoo, baking soda, vinegar, cornstarch, glue, paint, glitter, and much more. Learn about balance by designing sculptures and mobiles. Study nature and make art from the earth. Engage in the process of felting to turn sheep's wool into toys. Please bring a snack.

WOODWORKING CAMP

Richard W. Black Center, Hanover, NH

Ages: 6-11

The morning camp will focus on making "builder boards" (like life-size flat Lincoln logs) you can use to make and remake your own child-sized playhouse at home to play in this summer. We will also build small items as time allows.

The afternoon class will focus on building games and toys you can take home to play with: ballon-powered cars, paddle boats, stilts, catapults, marble rolls, and more. Please bring a snack, and lunch if you are staying all day.

Dates: July 25-29

Times: 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00

Fees: $155.00 per session or $275.00 all day, material fee TBD for morning camp

FAMOUS ARTISTS CAMP

Ages: 6-11

Explore how various famous artists expressed themselves through drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking, and photography, and have fun learning techniques to make your own art. We will study different artists in the morning and afternoon. Please bring a snack, and lunch if you are staying all day.

Times: 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00

Fees: $155.00 per session or $275.00 all day, materials included
